Dainty Bride Is Back!

I'm back!!
You may or may not have noticed that I've been a little absent from the blogosphere for the last couple of months. To be honest, life got way to hectic with just getting married, having bought our first home that we're renovating & having a new job. Along with just generally working full time, going to the gym & seeing friends & family, I just needed a bit of a break & around Christmas & the new year seemed like the perfect opportunity.
I didn't want to force myself back into it as I felt like my blog was becoming more of a chore & less of a fun hobby. I knew that when I was ready I would open this page & just start typing. And here I am...
Hopefully you're all glad to see me back & this time around I think I'm just going to post as & when I feel like it. I put some pressure on myself last time around in that I wanted to post every week on specific days but with a hectic lifestyle, it's just not possible. I'm kind of hoping I'll still post every week but let's just wait & see!

Roaming in Rome | OOTD

Rome, Rome, Rome. The eternal city. The first adventure of our honeymoon.
You can spend hours & hours wandering around Rome which is exactly what we did. We explored round all the narrow streets constantly dodging mopeds whizzing through, adored lots of Basilica's & went to the usual tourist spots.
Whilst I spent my days exploring & eating ice cream, I had to compete with the incredible Italian fashion & stunning autumnal weather.

September Favourites

Seeing as I've recently moved into our very first home together, this months favourites have managed to become fairly homeware based. I mean, it was bound to happen at some point with all the wish lists & that!
1. The White Company Diffuser

As we've been doing our house up, it really smelt of plaster, paint, gloss etc etc. Whilst we were away for Stephen's birthday in Bath, we nipped into The White Company & just happened to leave with this divine fresh fig diffuser which I can't get enough of. I'm already dreading the day the scent dies out.

OOTD | Spring Styling

As Spring sets in, the sun looks like it's going to stay although there's still that slight chill in the air.

I've been loving ripped jeans recently in all their shapes & sizes as well as clean white shirt. Perfect for relaxing on a sunny Saturday.

Festival Wish List

Seeing so many Coachella pictures has made me envious of all things festival. I loved going to Glastonbury & embracing the mud but luckily for me, the sunshine too!

Even though I'm not going to a festival this year, I can't help but look at the clothes & save them in various shopping baskets.

Review | Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener

I've never been much of a fan of these tinted eye brighteners. I always find that they don't give me the coverage that I want & claim to be better than they are.
My sister bought this product a while back & I didn't really think much of it. She said I should give it a try, I did & was instantly hooked. I was so surprised how much it brightened my eyes & it also gave me a better coverage than other products I'd previously used.

Review | Bee Good 'Vanilla & Honey' Lip Balm

Everyone loves a good balm product during the winter months to keep those lips moisturised & luscious. There's nothing worse than wanting to wear your favourite bright red lippy & then finding it cracks & looks dehydrated before you've even left the house.
During my first blogger event at FABB Events in Birmingham (you can find the post here) I was lucky enough to meet the brand 'Bee Good' & learn a little about their company. I loved hearing how they began & they have such an amazing ethos!

To be honest I'd never really heard of the brand before other than the odd mention but I'm glad that I've now been introduced.

Blogger Event | FABB Birmingham

Last Sunday, I went to my first ever blogger event in Birmingham & I wasn't disappointed! FABB events was definitely the perfect first event for me to go to as there was so many amazing brands to talk to & get to know as well as being able to dabble in some blogger chat! I didn't take any pictures whilst I was there as I wanted to fully enjoy my time without worrying about the 'angles' & I'm glad I didn't - I had a camera free day & it was bliss!

Halloween | Pumpkin Fun

When it comes to Halloween, I think everyone is secretly still a kid at heart. We all love to decorate the house, dress up & carve a pumpkin or two.

I love carving pumpkins even though I'm pretty rubbish at it! I'm not all that creative but I still had all the tools out that I could find including screw drivers. Yes, screw drivers.

Lipstick Love

It takes me a while to find a lipstick that I really love. As I'm fair & have red hair, I find it hard to pick shades that really suit me but after a fair few years I've finally found my favourite four.

Here are my top 4 lipsticks that I really love & have stayed with me for a long time now!

MAC  - Satin 'M.A.C Red'

This is my favourite 'red lip' lipstick. It's really durable & is a gorgeous shade of red. Perfect for dressed up makeup looks!

MAC - Lustre 'Milan Mode'

This is such a versatile colour. I use it the day to brighten up my makeup but also at night with a deep smokey eye.

MAC - Cremesheen 'Creme Cup'

This is by far my most used lipstick. It's a gorgeous texture & doesn't dry my lips out. It's also that perfect colour to use at all times of day. Perfection!

Chanel - Rouge Allure Velvet 'La Sensuelle'

I know this is another red lippy but it's a colour to die for. It's a deeper red which I mainly use during winter.
