York Travels | OOTD
After weeks of grey skies & drizzly days, the sunshine finally came out & shone on us in York. It was such a lovely family weekend away & the perfect opportunity to bring out some summer comfort.

OOTD | Blues, Bay Trees & Bath
You may have noticed a slight theme with my outfit posts... They're often blue, comfy & involve a pair of jeans.
The last two seem to be my "go to" when I'm deciding what to wear. I love jeans. You can really dress them up or down & they're perfect for so many occasions. Plus, they go with pretty much everything & last forever & there's nothing more important than being comfy. However, remember not to compromise style over comfort.

OOTD | Ocean Blues
If you know me, you'll know that I'm a real blue lover. Any shade of blue & I tend to purchase.
This was my drive down outfit as each item is really comfy & moveable, perfect for a long car ride. Also, espadrilles have stayed around this year & I'm so happy as these beauties are beyond comfortable & go with pretty much anything!
Love,

OOTD | Spring Styling
As Spring sets in, the sun looks like it's going to stay although there's still that slight chill in the air.
I've been loving ripped jeans recently in all their shapes & sizes as well as clean white shirt. Perfect for relaxing on a sunny Saturday.

What's In My Travel Bag?
Here's my 'What's in my travel bag' from when I went to visit my fiancé in America :)
(Click on the bold writing for direct links)
I love my Longchamp bag so much! It doesn't look too big but can fit so much into it - almost reminds me of Mary Poppins' bag :) It's perfect for the airport because of the material, size & colour as it'll go with almost every airport outfit.
1.
I always take my Kindle on holiday as I love to spend hours by the pool or in the airport catching up on my favourite books.
(You'll also find that my Kindle was in my May Favourites)
2.
I'm such a cold person that I have to take a pair of thick woolly socks to the airport! Especially when I'm going on a summer holiday as I tend to wear either sandals or flip flops to the airport & then my feet get really cold :(
3.
This one is pretty standard as everyone needs their purse, so here you have my Mulberry purse that I got for my 22nd birthday!
4.
I like to take a small bag with me for all random necessary items such as plasters, medicine, inhaler, creams & lady items but I won't photograph these seeing as they're pretty boring!
5.
I always keep my sunglasses in my travel bag too for when I leave the airport/plane in case I have to go outside & can't see :)
(You can again, find my sunglasses in my June Favourites)
6.
I take my Filofax everywhere I go! I like to jot down any information & in case anything gets planned it's best to have it handy.
(That is the Filofax I have but unfortunately they don't seem to sell it in that colour anymore)
7.
A passport is definitely an obvious in a travel bag & I have mine in a really soft leather case which I can't even remember where I got it from as I've had it since I was about 16!!
8.
This little travel document organiser is the best thing EVER! If your an organised freak like me then this will be a dream item for you too :) My lovely colleagues got it for me as a leaving present & I used it so much in America.
(Again I can't find the exact one I have even though it's really new so I linked another one that I love)
9.
I really struggle with my ears popping whenever a plane takes off or lands, so I always make sure that I have some sort of hard sweets that I can have to stop this! I would definitely recommend this if you suffer with this as well as it always stops it from happening.
I also like to take a variety of beauty products with me on the plane to keep myself feeling human & hydrated!
1.
I always take this Alpha H Eye Cream with me to keep my eyes hydrated from all of the aircon.
(You'll also find this eye cream on 'Love The Skin Your In')
2.
After touching various machines & rails, I always find it useful to have an anti-bacterial hand wash to use before eating on the plane in case I can't get to the toilet to wash my hands.
3.
As well as an eye cream, I also like to take some face moisturiser with me for the same reason, especially during long flights!
4.
Even though it's really air conditioned on all flights, I feel like I need to powder some of the shine sometimes before facing the public & scaring them so I tend to take my powder from my make up bag which at the moment is the 'MAC Prep & Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.'
5.
This miniature 'Marc Jacobs - Daisy' perfume is just too cute! I got it with a gift set & it's perfect to keep in your travel bag or handbag.
6.
This one is a tad boring but it was in there so I didn't want to miss it out! I always have to take a small tube of my eczema cream as air conditioning really dries it out & makes it sore.
7.
This lipgloss is gorgeous. It smells/tastes amazing & has a 25 SPF which is perfect for a windy beach day to protect those lips! Also perfect to keep those lips hydrated & looking a little more colourful than the au natural look!
8.
Another lip product. This time 'Burt's Bees' which I tend to use all of the time & then pop into my travel bag just in case I want a balm rather than a lip gloss.
9.
And finally, another lip product!! This time it's more of a makeup product than a lip care product in the form of 'MAC Creme Cup.'
(You'll find this lipstick being used in my 'Subtly Smokey' makeup look.)

June Favourites
Finally some warmer, sunnier weather :) My June favourites definitely reflect this!
Enjoy...
(Ps. All of the pictures have direct links in case you see something you love!!)
1. Triangl bikini
Enjoy...
(Ps. All of the pictures have direct links in case you see something you love!!)
Ever since I got my Triangl bikini the other week I have been LOVING it! It's so bright & summery but also so comfy because of the material. This is definitely a bikini that I'll keep for many summers to come!
2. RayBan Aviator
I have been wanting some Ray Bans for so long but didn't really want to pay out £150 when I knew I was coming to America & could get them a lot cheaper :) I love them so much, they fit so well, don't feel like they'll fall off when I move my head & are really good protection for my eyes!

3. Almond Milk
I'm not really much of a milk fan anyways as I only ever really use it for making a cup of tea but since I've been in America visiting my fiancé, I've switched to almond milk as he prefers it. I've been pleasantly surprised & actually love adding it to my tea :) might have to start using it back in the UK now!!
4. Hollister Flip Flops
I bought a pink pair of these the last time I was in America & they were sooo comfy. So seeing as I'm back & they have a sale yet again I thought I would buy a new pair. I love these flip flops as I feel like they're almost acceptable with a nicer outfit... Maybe that's just me!
Ever since I found this blog via Pinterest I have been loving their DIY Wedding Posts but this month more than others! I go on a daily basis to have a look for any DIY ideas I can find for my own wedding. This blog is definitely worth a visit if your a bride-to-be like me.
6. Edamame Beans
Why can't we get these easily in the UK?! Well I can't find them anywhere so if anyone knows somewhere I can buy lots of edname beans in the UK then please let me know :) I love edamame! It's such a good & healthy snack which is perfect for that summer 'bikini body' we all wish for ;)

I have been loving my t-shirt bra this month. I mean it's not the most 'sexy' of bras but its just so damn comfy. I always go for comfort with underwear otherwise I spend my whole day getting agitated & annoyed so will definitely be getting a few more of these.
8. Abercombie Print Trousers
Going along with the comfort theme, these Abercombie trousers are ridiculously comfy! It's like wearing pjs when your out and about. They're really versatile too as I can dress them up or down depending where I want to wear them.
9. Travel Sized Games
Seeing as I've been travelling around America this month with my fiancé, I have rediscovered my love for travel sized games. We've loved being able to play Monopoly on our travels & I really want to purchase some more!
10. YSL Foundation
Even though this was in my April Favourites I am STILL loving this foundation! It's definitely beaten all the other foundations I've ever had & thats saying a lot. Just go & buy it, you won't regret it!

Fashion Wish List
At the minute, I am loving hats! I never used to wear hats but I've recently really got into them. I love this Topshop one which would be perfect for a casual or smart occasion. I also love the colour.
I really really really want these Whistles ripped jeans! They're such a good fit & have the perfect amount of 'ripedness' for me.
Having recently been offered a new job (yay me) I'm really into finding 'office wear' which is why I am loving both of the skirts on here. The coral coloured one from Topshop is again multi-functional like the hat in that I could wear it at the weekend on a warm day but also smarten it up for work. The Ted Baker one is just so delicate & I love the flower pattern.
I have been wanting some Ray-Bans for ages!! I just haven't been able to justify spending the money when I had a pair of perfectly acceptable sunglasses. These are now falling to pieces & since I'm going to the USA I'm definitely going to be purchasing some :)
Clearly, I'm loving Topshop right now! These shoes are amazing. Really simple, dainty & could work for many occasions. Definitely need to add these to my wardrobe.
This Whistles clutch is a gorgeous blue & also is such a good size to fit all the essentials in.
Hopefully this has given you some ideas for you to add to your summer wardrobe :)
