Review | Seventeen Eye Eye Shadow

Seventeen isn't a brand that I would usually pick up in the shops. I don't think I even used any of their products when I was younger. For some reason, I find that Seventeen is meant to be for younger girls who are first experiencing makeup but after finding this beauty, they're definitely trying to change this perception.

Review | NARSissit Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette

NARS has quickly become one of my favourite makeup brands. It feels premium yet not so expensive that you gasp at the price. I already own a variety of their products each of which haven't disappointed & this NARSissist Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette is no exception.

Eyebrows, Eyebrows, Eyebrows

For as long as I can remember, I've tried to enhance my eyebrows. It probably started in my early teens where I'd put a bit of eyeshadow clumsily onto my eyebrows because they were invisible.

It's now turned into a daily routine that has expanded to having different products & tools.

August Favourites

How quickly is this year going by?! I know we all say it every year but it really is! Next thing you know, it'll be Christmas! Jeee whiz.

This month I have really been getting into Peplum tops. I've never really liked them before but I thought I'd give them a whirl again & was pleasantly surprised. In the past I've found that the make me look stumpy & like I have no upper body but for some reason I've changed my mind about this. Whether I was being picky or the tops have slightly changed design over the past few years I don't know. What I do know is that I'm loving them & they're becoming a bit of a staple in my wardrobe.

2. Sugar Lip Treatment

I'd never heard of this brand before until my fiancƩ bought me a Sephora 'Sun Safety Kit' which included this. It has quickly become my favourite lip balm. It smells amazing, almost like honey & feels incredible when you apply it. It's also got an SPF 15 which is an extra bonus!

3. Eyeshadow

Since I started my new job back in July I have worn eyeshadow every single day. Yes you read that right, EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't know what's come over me but I just can't not wear it at the moment. I love using different colours & trying a new look each day. Even if it's really subtle I just can't not wear it!

These shoes are one of the best purchases I've ever made! Honestly. I spent the whole month searching every H&M shop in America when I visited to find them, finally gave up & then found my size online in the sale when I was back in the UK. They're amazingly comfy & go with literally anything! I've dressed them up to go for cocktails, wear them really casual with some jeans & a simple top & even wear them for work. A-MA-ZING!

Ooh look another pair of shoes. These are again, super comfy! I needed some plain black flats for work & these were just the thing. I wouldn't usually spend £24 on a pair of plain flats or shop at Next normally but I know that these will last a while which makes them worth the pennies.

Since I've been applying eyeshadow every day recently, I've wanted to make sure it stays on for the whole day. This NARS Eye Primer is my all time favourite. It's a really creamy consistency & my eyeshadow stays on all day without me having to worry about it.

Over the past month I've become a tad 'wedding' obsessed. I live & breathe our wedding & just love to look at various decorations, websites, dresses & ideas. I was reading one of my monthly bridal magazines & came across this website & fell in love. They literally have everything from ribbons, stamps, children's games, table decorations & venue decorations. Definitely worth a click!

I've wanted this fluffy blending brush for some time & I've finally got my hands on it. I really couldn't have been happier with this purchase. It's so soft on the eyes, blends really well & also cleans really well which I love as I hate having brushes that are stained from the makeup!

Like thousands of other girls, I have a fair amount of box sets. I'd get obsessed with a television programme & then have to buy every series. Recently, I've been loving getting back into them. Watching shows like 'The OC' & 'Friends' just brings back lots of memories & is a great way to wind down in the evening.

I took this moisturiser to America & you'll find that I've already mentioned it here. This moisturiser was a rash buy. I desperately needed a new one but didn't want to spend much. I actually really love it. It feels amazing when it's applied & it's also lasted a long time!

Have a look at what I was loving last month in my 'July Favourites'

My Makeup Storage

My makeup storage is definitely something I've been working on for years & I'm finally happy with what I now have. I've gone from having it in boxes to being in drawers & sitting on the floor to now having a beautiful dressing table where I can be comfortable & fully enjoy putting my makeup on.

I love seeing other people's makeup storage & collection so I thought that I would share mine :)

I love how my dressing table is set up. I have the IKEA Malm Dressing Table & the Nils Stool. My skincare & makeup brushes are easily accessible & all of my makeup products are safely hidden away :)

Square brush holder - MUJI
Circular brush holder - MUJI

In the first two boxes (which are MUJI for anyone who is wondering) are my foundations, concealers, bronzers, highlighters & powders. My favourites at the minute are the YSL foundation on the left & the Prep & Prime MAC powder on the right.

We then move onto primers, eyeshadows & brow products. Having a variety of primers always helps me (as you will have read during previous posts that I've had a love/hate relationship) because I can choose which primer (if any) suits my makeup that day. I also love having millions of eyeshadow palette's so that I can try a different look each day :)

In the middle are lots of mascara's & eyeliners of different shapes, sizes & colours. I frequently change my mind on which mascara & eyeliner are my favourites so I always think it's good to have a few options!

And finally, at the end are all of my lip products. I love having a variety of balms, glosses & lipsticks in the mix as it depends on my mood as to what to wear!

It's currently a bit messy as I've recently bought a load of new stuff & had to quickly find room for it all but I'm hoping to sort it all out when summer is over & I change my most used products around.

Makeup Wish List

I am a lover of all things makeup & beauty & have recently recreated a new makeup wish list which I thought I would share with all of you!

Beauty Wish List

*

1. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I have wanted this concealer for so long now! I've read so many reviews on various blogs & I still can't believe that I don't have it. I'm sure as soon as I buy it, it will go into my next months favourites :) keep a look out!

2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light
After seeing this on Vivianna Does Makeup's blog, I had to have it. Yet, like the Nars concealer, I still haven't bought it! Seeing as it's quite pricey I think this is the reason why. I love the how it softens the way light reflects on your skin which is something that I've been wanting for a while.

3. Chanel Chance
I got a sample of this perfume around Christmas time & fell in love. It's smells gorgeous but isn't too heavy that you can't wear it in the day. I also love the bottle & packaging.

4. Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette 'The Rebel'
I have been looking around for an eyeshadow palette with colours other than neutrals & browns & I have finally found one! I love the colours in this palette & am desperate to get my hands on this.

5. Chanel Inimitable Mascara
I had this mascara about a year ago & it's definitely the best mascara I've ever used. I was so sad when it ran out but just keep forgetting to get a new one. It has the perfect sized brush that means your upper lashes don't clump together when you build it up but you can also use it really well on your lower lashes without them looking like spider legs.

6. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
I love my Urban Decay Naked Palette & use it pretty much every time I apply some sort of eyeshadow. There's just always a colour in there that I can use to create my desired make up look. I love the warmer colours in the Naked 3 palette so really want to give this a go!

Let me know if you've tried any of these products or there are some that you can suggest to me!
