Birthday Wish List

Every year my mum comes to me and asks what I want for my birthday. Up until I was about 16, I had something in mind that I would like every year but then after my 16th birthday I could never think of anything!

For once, this year there are lots that I want for my birthday! Obviously, I know that I'll never in a million years get everything on this list but it's always fun to dream :)

Enjoy!

July Favourites

Another month has rolled by already so here are my July Favourites!

1. Benefit 'They're Real! Push-up Liner'

I bought this when I was in America last month & I absolutely love it! I'm definitely one of those people who have a love/hate relationship with eyeliners but I find that this one glides over really smoothly & gets the job done.

2. Victoria's Secret 'Mango Temptation' Spray

I've had another one of these which I posted about in a previous Favourites post but unfortunately it ran out :( Luckily, I was heading to America which meant I could buy a new one without it being too expensive. I love this 'Mango Temptation' one that I picked up, it smells so fruity & summery.

3. Barry M Gelly Nail Polish in 'Papaya'

I kind of went off Barry M nail polishes for a while, not too sure why. But recently i've been getting my finger nails done with gel polish & I wanted to have the same sort of effect on my tootsies! (At a fraction of the price.) I pulled this old thing out of my nail polish jars & have fallen in love again. It's such a gorgeous colour & gives a really nice finish.

4. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Chantilly'

I have wanted this concealer for AGES. Literally months! Again, I bought this in America as it was cheaper & I'm so glad I did. The creamy texture is so good for covering up any blemishes or redness so I'll definitely have to re-purchase this.

5. Urban Decay 'The Brow Box' in 'Honey Pot'

I've only used this a few times but it has already fallen into my list of favourites. I love the colours which are of a natural tone & the little box it comes in. It's perfect for taking on the road with the hard casing, mini eyebrow brush & tweezer at the bottom.

6. Abercrombie White Ripped Jeans

I've always wanted a pair of white jeans but thought that I couldn't pull them off (you may think that I still can't ;)) but I saw some in Abercrombie that I fell in love with. They're really comfy & fit really well too. They were also a bargain which makes the purchase even better!

7. Yankee Candle Car Freshener

This little bundle of smell is joyful when I get into my car each day! It smells amazing & also looks really cute :) I've never seen these in the UK before, does anyone know where I can get some more?

8. Jo Malone White Jasmine & Mint Candle

My previous work colleagues bought me this as a leaving gift & I've been loving it! It smells so summery, almost like suncream... but trust me, it's a good'un.

9. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

I've had a bit of a rocky relationship with primers. Some days I love them, others I hate them! This Hourglass one however goes on like a dream. It's a really nice texture & doesn't feel overly heavy. It's such a good start to my makeup routine at the moment.

10. Nike Free Runner Trainers 5.0

My fiancé bought me these for Christmas last year but this month I have been loving them. I always forget how comfy they are until I slip them back on. They were really handy in America as we were doing lots of walking & they're also so light that they don't weigh your case down too much!

Have a look at what I was loving last month in my 'June Favourites'

Makeup Wish List

I am a lover of all things makeup & beauty & have recently recreated a new makeup wish list which I thought I would share with all of you!

Beauty Wish List

*

1. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I have wanted this concealer for so long now! I've read so many reviews on various blogs & I still can't believe that I don't have it. I'm sure as soon as I buy it, it will go into my next months favourites :) keep a look out!

2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light
After seeing this on Vivianna Does Makeup's blog, I had to have it. Yet, like the Nars concealer, I still haven't bought it! Seeing as it's quite pricey I think this is the reason why. I love the how it softens the way light reflects on your skin which is something that I've been wanting for a while.

3. Chanel Chance
I got a sample of this perfume around Christmas time & fell in love. It's smells gorgeous but isn't too heavy that you can't wear it in the day. I also love the bottle & packaging.

4. Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette 'The Rebel'
I have been looking around for an eyeshadow palette with colours other than neutrals & browns & I have finally found one! I love the colours in this palette & am desperate to get my hands on this.

5. Chanel Inimitable Mascara
I had this mascara about a year ago & it's definitely the best mascara I've ever used. I was so sad when it ran out but just keep forgetting to get a new one. It has the perfect sized brush that means your upper lashes don't clump together when you build it up but you can also use it really well on your lower lashes without them looking like spider legs.

6. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
I love my Urban Decay Naked Palette & use it pretty much every time I apply some sort of eyeshadow. There's just always a colour in there that I can use to create my desired make up look. I love the warmer colours in the Naked 3 palette so really want to give this a go!

Let me know if you've tried any of these products or there are some that you can suggest to me!

An Engagement Party

A couple of weeks ago I went to my auntie's engagement party in Leeds :) it was a really nice evening & a good chance for some of the family to get together!

I was busy during the day & didn't have time to re-do my makeup so I had to do a re-vamp of my daytime makeup to make it appropriate for a party!

Here's my day to night makeup look :)

In the day, I tend to keep it quite natural with a small amount of liner & mascara

Excuse the eyebrows - it'd been a long day & they aren't looking the best!

(Left eye)

I started off by applying 'half baked' from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

(Left Eye)

I then added some definition to my crease & started to create the flick outline using a gorgeous glittery plum colour from a MAC palette I got as an Easter present.

(Bottom Colour)

I continued to build it up until I was happy with it!

Crazy flicks before I blended them out :)

I then added my MAC liquid eyeliner which is in my current favourites at the minute! I sorted my eyebrows out, added some more mascara & bronzer et voila...

The finished look :)

We then drove up to Leeds & quickly got changed into our outfits before setting off for the party.
(Apologies for the lighting in the hotel!)

Dress - Miss Selfridge
Necklace - Accessorize

On our way home on the Sunday we stopped off for a Sunday lunch in a restaurant called 'The Cadeby Inn' It was really lovely & such a beautiful place!

We were sat in "The Conservatory" which was a beautiful open room with only 4 tables but lots of windows!

I loved this lamp shade & the wine displayed

Of course I had my favourite drink, cranberry & disaronno

For starter I had a prawn & smoked salmon cocktail which was delicious. It was so light & fresh & came with a piece of warm tasty bread :)

I found this beautiful picture in the ladies toilets & just felt the need to take a photo of it :)

For my main course, I went with the pork loin & apple mash which was sooo tasty!

If you have the chance to go for a Sunday lunch I would definitely recommend as it's pretty good value for money & is also really tasty :) The garden at the front also looked perfect for relaxing on a sunny day.
