Halloween | Pumpkin Fun

When it comes to Halloween, I think everyone is secretly still a kid at heart. We all love to decorate the house, dress up & carve a pumpkin or two.

I love carving pumpkins even though I'm pretty rubbish at it! I'm not all that creative but I still had all the tools out that I could find including screw drivers. Yes, screw drivers.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween | Vampire How To

Here's a quick 'how to' for  a Vampire inspired makeup for Halloween :)

What you'll need:

I used a mix of beauty products & 'costume' products which were from Asda. I just made sure that I had a black eyeshadow, red eyeshadow or cream & plenty of liner!

The rest you can do as you please :)

Oh & don't forget the fake blood. Essential to any Halloween outfit

Step 1

Line your bottom lashes with a red eyeliner or face paint

Step 2

Cover your lid with red eyeshadow & wing out slightly. Make sure you put plenty into your crease to define your eyes.

Step 3

Use a black eyeshadow in your crease & around the outside corner of your eye & use a white eyeshadow to highlight your inner corner & brow bone

Step 4

Line your lid with a liquid liner to get that defined look

Step 5

Define those eyebrows making them darker than you would usually go!

Step 6

Line those lips, add a deep red lippy & go crazy with the mascara! Finish off by adding some fake blood around the corner of the mouth for that Halloween factor.

And there you have it! A quick & simple way to vampire yourself up!

Wedding Pamper

One of the most exciting things about planning a wedding is that I know I can have a real indulging pamper day & not feel bad about it AT ALL.

You do need to be careful when planning these treatments though as you don't want to be that bride with a red face & orange body on your wedding day!

Here are my top 5 beauty treatments for the run up to your wedding day.

1. Nails

This is a must! I'm definitely opting for a gel nail polish to make sure they don't chip!! Depending on your theme & what type of bride you are, you could keep it real simple & go nude/pink/french or match your nails to your theme to give that little 'pop' of colour!

2. Hair

If you've been growing your hair rapidly so that you can have your desired hairstyle then this might not be the greatest idea! However, I always feel great after a fresh hair cut & knowing that my hair will look healthy for the big day is an added bonus :)

3. Massage

Nothing can be more relaxing than a full body massage. Release all of those wedding stresses by booking yourself in for one of these!

4. Facial

To facial or not to facial? If you have sensitive skin & bad results after a facial then please don't go for it! It sounds like a great idea but if the reality sucks, don't do it. If you're not too sure how you will react then I'd suggest trying it out a couple of months before & if you love the results then maybe get another a couple weeks before the wedding.

5. Fake Tan

Not everyone will agree with getting a spray tan before their wedding day. If however, you're like me & look like a ghost then this might be something you want to consider. I'm clearly not going to go for the "orange" look as it'll clearly clash with my hair... I just want a natural healthy glow. Famous last words.

Like the facial, I would suggest you have a 'trial' spray tan a month or so before so that you can make sure you get the right colour you're going for. If it's a success you'll want to book it a few days before the wedding so that if it turns out a little darker than planned you have a few days for it to wear off.

Let me know if there are any other beauty treatments you would suggest before the big day!

Candle Season

Who doesn't love a good candle? I mean, I've probably taken that statement a tad over board but I feel like you can never have enough of them!

Now it's getting a little chillier, there's nothing better than staying in with a cup of tea & lighting a smelly candle!

You can never go wrong with a Yankee Candle. They have so many different scents that even the fussiest person is bound to find one they like! I love how they do various scents for the different seasons, especially the Christmas range!

If you prefer a simple "clean" smell then the 'Clean Cotton' is for you. It's fresh but not too overwhelming like others can be.

The other two candles 'Black Coconut' & 'Fireside Treats' are a lot sweeter in smell but deliciously so!

As you can tell, I've almost exhausted one of my Jo Malone candles. These candles are pricier but definitely worth it! They're the most powerful candles, making the whole room smell incredible which is something I've struggled to come across as I find that some smell incredible but when you light them barely smell of anything!

These are my miscellaneous as they're a mix of brands & smells. They are your perfect 'relax' candles. They aren't too fussy & they aren't going to break the budget either :)
