Wedding Pamper
One of the most exciting things about planning a wedding is that I know I can have a real indulging pamper day & not feel bad about it AT ALL.
You do need to be careful when planning these treatments though as you don't want to be that bride with a red face & orange body on your wedding day!
Here are my top 5 beauty treatments for the run up to your wedding day.
1. Nails
This is a must! I'm definitely opting for a gel nail polish to make sure they don't chip!! Depending on your theme & what type of bride you are, you could keep it real simple & go nude/pink/french or match your nails to your theme to give that little 'pop' of colour!
2. Hair
If you've been growing your hair rapidly so that you can have your desired hairstyle then this might not be the greatest idea! However, I always feel great after a fresh hair cut & knowing that my hair will look healthy for the big day is an added bonus :)
3. Massage
Nothing can be more relaxing than a full body massage. Release all of those wedding stresses by booking yourself in for one of these!
4. Facial
To facial or not to facial? If you have sensitive skin & bad results after a facial then please don't go for it! It sounds like a great idea but if the reality sucks, don't do it. If you're not too sure how you will react then I'd suggest trying it out a couple of months before & if you love the results then maybe get another a couple weeks before the wedding.
5. Fake Tan
Not everyone will agree with getting a spray tan before their wedding day. If however, you're like me & look like a ghost then this might be something you want to consider. I'm clearly not going to go for the "orange" look as it'll clearly clash with my hair... I just want a natural healthy glow. Famous last words.
Like the facial, I would suggest you have a 'trial' spray tan a month or so before so that you can make sure you get the right colour you're going for. If it's a success you'll want to book it a few days before the wedding so that if it turns out a little darker than planned you have a few days for it to wear off.
Let me know if there are any other beauty treatments you would suggest before the big day!
Make sure you check out my previous 'bridal' post 'Floral Design' for flower inspiration.

September Favourites
Another month rolls by... September Favourites is here!
1. Office Shoes
I've wanted the Valentino version for quite some time now so when I spotted these beauties in Office shortly after my birthday I just couldn't resist!! They look like the kind of shoes that hate feet but amazingly, they're super comfy!
I've had the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate for a while now & I absolutely love it! It feels incredible on my skin & I would always recommend it. When I last went in I was given a sample of the eye cream. I don't tend to use samples as they get pushed to the back of my dressing table draw but I felt like this one would be worth a go. I'm so glad I tried it as it's just as amazing as the concentrate. It's super creamy consistency makes it a dream to put on every night & I will definitely be re-purchasing this!
I think this post has a bit of a theme with me going into places not expecting to find anything & then coming out with a rather large dent in my purse! This perfume is no exception. I originally went in to discuss my 'wedding fragrance' & came out smelling like a dream. In the end I had to go back to get another spritz so the lovely lady gave me a sample. Luckily, my fiance being in America, I was able to get this a tiny bit cheaper as it's a whopping £100!! Although expensive, it's definitely worth it.
4. Gel Nails
Everyone has that one part of their body that they love. For me, it's my nails. Odd I know! I'm lucky enough to have naturally long & strong nails which I love to enhance with a cheeky bit of polish. However, nail polish & I used to have a bad relationship. I got so annoyed every time it would chip & would immediately need to take it off & reapply. Then I was introduced to gel. I haven't looked back. It's incredible, I can live my normal life & not worry about my nails looking messy or waiting for polish to dry properly for hours on end.
5. New Look Shoes
Again, another purchase I wasn't expecting to make! These shoes aren't normally something I would buy as I can be a bit 'safe' sometimes but for once I decided to just go for it. I love the colour, style & versatility of these heels. I've been able to wear them for various occasions including work. A worthy purchase in my opinion.
6. Lace Bra's
I can tell I'm getting older as these would have creeped me out at 16 years old! I'm definitely edging towards comfort over style although these are very in at the minute so I guess I'm killing two birds with one stone.
7. Hardrive
I've never really been a 'techy' person but having realised I was filling my macbook up to the brim I needed somewhere to store my thousands of photos. This WD passport has been amazing. It's super easy to use & has a large amount of memory available.
I'm always a bit wary of buying hair products as I find my hair gets greasy easily when adding lots of products into the equation. However, this hairspray makes my hair feel soft but also increases the body which lasts for ages!
9. Truffle Oil
Mmm truffle oil. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water! Any time I see 'truffle' on a menu I instantly choose that dish. As my fiance is moving away for 6 months again he decided to buy me some truffle oil for my going away present. Literally the best present ever! You can practically put it on anything. Amazing.
10. Kate Spade Bag
I'm loving this bag at the minute. It's pretty much identical to the Longchamp version I have but it's slightly softer & is a larger size. I love the colour which is very autumnal but I feel like this is something I can wear all year round.
Have a read of my previous favourites -

My Top 5 Nail Polishes
I'm definitely one of those people who can't live without having nail polish on at all times! I think I just got so used to having it on that I hate my nails without it :)
Even though I do sometimes find applying it very frustrating, especially having to wait for what seems like a lifetime for it to dry, I'm still addicted!
I definitely have a few favourites that I use over & over again for different reasons so here they are!
Apologies for the colours that are running slightly low!
Apologies for the colours that are running slightly low!
This nail polish is definitely my all time favourite! It's such a natural colour that it almost looks like I'm not wearing it which is perfect for my job. It also goes with everything which means I don't have to quickly change it if I'm going out for a meal & want to wear a specific outfit! This nail polish will never get old & I'll shortly be in need of a new bottle again!!!
This colour reminds me of spring so much. I love the minty colour & it's really durable! I wore it last year for a weeks holiday in Cornwall & it stayed on so well! I also love the applicator brush as it makes the nail polish go on really evenly & smoothly.
3. Essie - 'E-nuff is e-nuff'
This is definitely a summer colour & is perfect for holidays! I can't wait to wear it again now the sun is out & shining. It's a good mix of a red & orange which makes it very versatile too!

4. Chanel - 'Frisson'
Who doesn't love to have a good Chanel nail polish?! I must admit, it doesn't last that long before it starts chipping but I still love it. It has a slight shimmer to it which is the main reason I bought it & again its such a natural colour rather than being in your face like the Essie polish!

5. Topshop - 'Spilled Milk'
Before I bought this nail polish, I was always really sceptical about Topshop makeup. I'm not really sure why but I just didn't trust it too much. This nail polish has definitely changed my opinion completely. I love the packaging, applicator brush & the colour that it gives. Sometimes with whites you can find they look a bit wishy washy & need a million coats but this is a really good one. I feel like its really versatile as well, seeing as I wore it at Christmas time with a glitter polish over the top but can also wear it in Spring/Summer :)
So there you have it! My top 5 nail polishes :)
The only one that I couldn't find in the shops right now is the Topshop polish which is a shame but I've linked in a similar product in the heading! Hope that's helpful :)
Do you have a favourite nail polish that I should try? Let me know!
