A Baby Shower

So we've started with the hen parties & weddings but within my friendship group, this is the first baby shower. Being my OCD organised self, I opted the plan the event along with my friend & I'm so happy I did. It was so much fun deciding what we were going to do & researching all things baby.

The Big Day | Bridal

Our wedding day was the best day of my life & won't ever be forgotten. It was so great to be able to share something so special with all of those closest to us & also have everyone together. It's so hard to get family & friends together especially if you have a big family but a wedding means no excuses & I was so happy that everyone could come.

Hen Party | Bridal

I can't believe that my hen party has been & gone. Time is flying by & I keep reminding myself to remember these last moments before the wedding.

Birthday Blues

It's only been a few days since my birthday but I've already got the birthday blues! I genuinely love birthdays, whether it's mine or someone else's, I get just as excited. It's not even about the presents (I mean I do love presents as much as the next person) I just love celebrating & looking forward to something!

Travel | Torrevieja

Spain is one of those places that I always tend to visit when I'm looking for a relaxing but inexpensive holiday. It has everything to offer; sunshine, sea & great food.

A few weeks back, I took a week's break with my girl friends to Torrevieja in the South of Spain & my goodness did I do nothing but relax!

Travel | London Town Part 2

If you've seen my Instagram & Twitter feeds you'll know that I'm a self obsessed foodie. My favourite hobby is going out to eat & I love to try new foods, so when we headed off to Borough market on my most recent trip to London, I was more than happy!

Penta Hotel Launch Party

Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited to a launch party in Derby for Penta Hotels. To be honest, I'd never heard of this hotel chain before so was a little sceptical as to what it would be like. I did some research & discovered that it's actually a worldwide hotel chain with hotels in places all the way from China & Belgium to Birmingham & Warrington.

Not wanting to be a loner all night, I took fellow blogger Sarah from Seriously Shallow which definitely helped with my nerves & meant that we could have a good old chat & giggle!

The hotel chain itself claims to be a new generation of hotels. They provide a relaxed & informal atmosphere & have a very rustic interior design. Each of their hotels has a "lifestyle lobby" which is multi-functional being a reception, bar, cafe & a place to relax.

Food, Friends & Exploring

Each time I visit good old London, I come back feeling shattered & not having achieved anything or explored anywhere!

This time when I visited, I was still absolutely shattered but had such an amazing time & felt like I'd got to explore the real London, not just the tourist hot spots. I always put so much pressure on myself when I usually go down because I'm paying an arm & a leg for a hotel as well as a train fare & food.

Fortunately, one of my best friends (well not too fortunate because I'd prefer it if she was still living near me) has moved down to London which meant I could enjoy a stress free, relaxed stay & not feel the pressure of getting around the whole of London in a day or two.

Off I went, coffee in hand to London Town.

The Life Of A Bride | Thoughts & Advice

I was lying in bed the other night thinking about all things wedding which I must admit, is something I do more often than I probably should.

All of a sudden I realised that my fiancé & I have been engaged for 9 months already & the time is just going faster & faster! My brain then went onto overdrive about all the things I've done, need to do or haven't even thought about yet!
Scary times I can tell you.

Amongst all this craziness in my head, I found myself creating a list of things I would have done better or advice I'd have given myself which is why I thought I'd share it with you. My lovely readers.

Countryside Living

I absolutely love living in the countryside. There's nothing better than going on a walk & enjoying the views that it has to offer.

A few weeks back, I went for a lovely lunch & countryside walk armed with my Hunter's & took some pictures along the way!

A Birthday In Brighton

I'd never been to Brighton before. I've always wanted to go, it looked so much fun & I just had to take the trip. So during the Bank Holiday weekend before my birthday, myself & 6 of my friends went down.

Getting up at 6.30am wasn't the ideal start to a Sunday but we knew we'd have to make the most of the day & with a 3 hour 30 minute drive ahead of us we rolled out of bed.

Brighton definitely didn't disappoint. It was cute, touristy & sunny! We had great weather which meant we could fully enjoy the day exploring.

Arriving in Brighton, we jumped out of the car & stretched our legs by wandering along the beach & pier.

We couldn't help ourselves indulging in some fresh doughnuts!

I loved all of the little shops & cafe's in the arches along the seaside

We then found ourselves exploring 'The Lanes,' getting lost & wanting to buy everything in sight

Having found this cute shop called 'Lavender Room' we all bought a bracelet or necklace to remember our trip down to Brighton

In need of some refuelling, we stopped at an independent restaurant 'Food For Friends' which turned out to be vegetarian. Not something I would have originally gone for but I was so glad that we didn't realise this until we had sat down as the food was amazing!!

As per usual I had to have my usual Amaretto Sour :)

I then followed that with this amazing coconut curry which was packed with vegetables & some really tasty dumplings.

We couldn't resist indulging in pudding & we definitely weren't disappointed. I opted for the 'Caramel Chocolate Fondant' which was to die for!

Feeling well & truly stuffed, we headed to the Royal Pavilion for some culture & to walk off some of that tasty food!

Back at the water, we had another mooch around the shops, grabbed a cuppa & went to relax on the beach

I had such an amazing day visiting Brighton. I'm definitely going to be returning & I'm so happy I decided to celebrate my birthday down south :)
