Flower Power | Guest Post

It's hard to believe we first met Charlie & Stephen in March 2014 at a local wedding fair. During these last 18 months with a few chats, a couple of meet ups & plenty of emails, especially whilst Stephen was living & working in the USA, we came together with a floral plan for Sunday 27th September 2015.

So this week here at Flowers on Main Street we've ordered & inspected the flowers from our dedicated suppliers. To ensure blooms are at their optimum beauty for Sunday we will soon be busy with conditioning each stem & bud. Designs will carefully be put together, each placement of bud & bloom adjusted until it's in just the right position & a few hours before the ceremony on Sunday the final finishing touches will be added.
So a sneak floral background for Charlie's blog...
Charlie has a lovely personal style & we think her choice of flowers have a beauty that will be remembered long after the blooms fade. Without giving too much away the bridal bouquet will be full of delicate textures & have a delightful sensory appeal. The flowers will convey sweetness, thoughtfullness, trust and virtue – powerful symbolisms of the marriage ceremony. The buttonhole to be worn by Stephen has an unashamedly romantic gesture to his bride...we'll just tell you the meaning...purity, silence, luck & devotion.
Charlie & Stephen have chosen complementary flowers for their bridal party with pretty bridesmaids bouquets, dainty flower girl posies and a delightful floral wand to ensure there is plenty of magic for the day. Buttonholes for the men & one too for the all important Pageboy. Two stylish corsages will be created for Mums.
Dreamy, floral clouds will tipple over lily vases on the tables during the reception with a styled top table - nothing more is needed in such elegant Georgian surroundings!
We are super excited to make your bouquet Charlie & all the other flowers too. Thank you for choosing us.
Wishing you and Stephen endless happiness on your forthcoming marriage.

Thank you so much to Flowers On Main Street for writing such a lovely post in honour of our wedding day. I'm sure many photo's will follow in the near future!

Love,
xx
